Your TOEFL Playbook (and the one thing most students do wrong)

Hey, Michael here.

Thanks for grabbing the playbook. Two quick things before you dig in. First, this is the same system I use with paying subscribers, just packaged into a free PDF. Read it cover to cover. It's 38 pages, takes about 90 minutes.

Second, here's the one mistake almost every TOEFL Speaking student makes (and the templates inside fix it specifically): they spend the first 8 seconds restating the prompt. The 2026 rubric punishes that hard. Skip to page 12 if you want the fix today.

Tomorrow I'll send you the Writing template that got a 4-rated student to a 5 on the new Independent Writing section. Two days after that, I'll show you what a real feedback report looks like.

If you ever want me to actually grade one of your attempts, that's what the $19 trial is for. We'll get there in a few days. No rush.

- Michael Lecturer of English · CSU San Bernardino since 1997
Day 5 · Optional · No card on file

Want me to actually grade one of your attempts? $19. One submission.

One speaking attempt or one writing task. Full evaluation, estimated TOEFL score, the same rubric paying subscribers receive. No card on file, no auto-renew, no trial-trap nonsense. If it is useful, the $99/mo subscription is one click away. If it is not, you have a free playbook and we part friends.
